The New Look Hunter Foods

Back in 1985 when the company was in its initial stages, the name ‘Hunter’ was selected from a number of options because of the Founder, Bharat Narayan’s love of animals and his wish to contribute to their safeguarding across the globe. Even in those early days Bharat’s intention was to educate children on the preservation of the world around them and this, in turn, led to the Hunter’s sub-brand Safari. With Bharat’s goal in mind, the package design of the hugely popular potato-based chips had flavours depicted by animals rather than following the universal norm of a colour, Cheezo the Giraffe, Salty the Elephant and ChiLee the Lion made up just a few of the characters and flavours that could be found in almost every child’s lunch box in the UAE in the late 1980’s and 1990’s, with a portion of the sales going towards the World Wildlife Fund. In the almost three decades since, Dubai has grown to become a buzzing hive of international travel, business and tourism and the multitude of nationalities who have made the region their home have had an unmistakeable influence on both the UAE and on our business. Like Dubai, we have also expanded, now distributing many of our products worldwide and we have launched two exciting new ranges, Hunter’s Gourmet and Hunter’s Collection, with 100 new products introduced in 2015 alone! We are very proud of our heritage but as the region is evolving so are we and we want that to be reflected in the way our business looks to you, our customers and clients. We pride ourselves on being at the forefront of food innovation and are constantly expanding our knowledge of sustainable production methods and the impact of commonly used chemicals (such as MSG, GMO and other artificial additives) and we are working hard to deliver unique, healthy and delicious products to our customers with that new knowledge in mind; our new branding reflects this exciting new chapter for our company in the clean white backgrounds of the new logo, while our history and our roots are reflected in the splashes of colour depicting the Dubai landmarks. We are thrilled to launch our new look and would be delighted to hear your feedback.
