Darkness Into Light UAE is a very special initiative, one which endeavors to bring communities together in support of a very worthy cause; the mental wellbeing of those around us. And yet again, this year Hunter Foods will be supporting and sharing the light in Dubai with our Hunter’s Gourmet Hand Cooked Potato Chips Black Truffle. Join the Darkness into Light 5km walk, an awareness campaign of such magnitude that it has spread to over 200 venues globally, with perception and prejudice considerably diminished as a result. This event was started in Ireland by an organization called Pieta House in 2009. Pieta House works very hard to pull communities together across the globe in an effort to alleviate the stigma surrounding mental health whilst also offering support services free of charge to those in crisis in their community. Here in the UAE, Darkness into Light comes to life through the support of their partner charity, the Al Jalila Foundation, and is as a direct result of the phenomenal support and encouragement they have received from the wonderful UAE community to-date.  All of their endeavors serve to highlight the positive impact community support holds in tackling these difficult issues and assisting those affected, and the Darkness into Light walk provides a tangible example of the substantial difference a  group of individuals can make when we unite as one.
